Fundraising Reminders and Opportunities:

Are you a Stop & Shop Customer? If so, please register your Stop & Shop rewards card and select William Winsor school. The Stop & Shop A+ rewards program helps our school earn a percentage of what you purchase every time you do your grocery shopping. During the month of November, the school earned $173.54 through the rewards program!  Year-to-date we have raised $367! (Year runs Oct - March).

If you registered your rewards card last year, you don't need to do it again. Please go to and click on “Register” to sign up.  It's easy and only takes a few minutes of your time. Please encourage your family and friends

to do the same.  So far we have 84 enrollments.  In addition, if you are a Peapod customer you can register your Stop & Shop card on your Peapod account. The money from the rewards program goes to the Winsor PTO to help support activities for our children. Thank you for your support!

Box Tops for Education: Keep clipping those box tops and sending them in! We collect throughout the year so remember to send in your clipped, non-expired box tops in a zip lock bag to Mia Howard, 2D.

Helping Others: The Winsor community is one of generosity so we wanted to share that the Smithfield Human Services & Food Pantry are collecting new winter jackets, ski pants, and under garments for those in need this winter. If you are interested in becoming a donor, or are in need of these services, please contact the office at 401-949-4590 ext. 27 to see if you qualify. The office is located within the Smithfield Senior Center. Visit for information.

Box Tops for Education Contest:

The BoxTops for Education classroom contest is underway, and we'll be tallying the first collections this weekend! Which classroom will be in the lead next week? Who will win the pizza party for collecting the most BoxTops? Last year Mrs. Keenan's class won by just 10 box tops, so every clip counts!!

Please send the labels in an envelope or zip-lock bag as collection boxes have been set up in each classroom. Thank you!

Turn Your Empty Cartridges into Cash for the PTO

Recycling logo
Did you know your used ink cartridges and toner cartridges can be turned into cash for our school? William Winsor is partnered with a company called eCycle Group that collects empty inkjet and toner cartridges that are used in
printers, copiers, and fax machines.

Beside the benefits to helping the environment, collecting empty cartridges will earn us needed funds. As well as increase our awareness to the importance of recycling.

Here’s how you can help:
  • Empty cartridges can be brought to school
wrapped in newspaper or a plastic bag.
  • Cartridges must be undamaged and have the
original manufacturer’s label in tact.
  • Small inkjet cartridges can be sent to Monica Carroccio c/o Gian. Large toner cartridges can be brought into school and placed in the box at the rear of the cafeteria or given to Mrs. Ross.
