This Week at Winsor

Welcome Back Wildcats

As the sweltering summer days have given way to crisp, late summer mornings, our staff is elated to welcome back our students. This first week has brought the chance to connect with old friends and the opportunity to meet new ones. At Winsor, we are a community. Everyone, especially those who are new to our school, is welcomed with open arms. Students in Grades 1-5 got right back into the swing of things- following the routines and engaging in learning from the moment the opening bell rang. We are brimming with possibilities for this year.

Our School Improvement Goals For This Year

As those of you attending school improvement meetings last year are aware, our School Improvement Team (SIT) goals were all met. Our 2019-2020 SIT plan is linked below:

As we are always looking for feedback and contributions from our community network, please join us for our opening meeting on Thursday, September 26th at 3:30pm in the library. We will review this year's plan and discuss methods for doing so.

Please Join Us For Open House

We look forward to welcoming our families to Winsor on Thursday, September 19th from 5:30-7:30pm for Open House. Please mark your calendars for this fun evening.

VIP Training

We welcome family volunteers at Winsor. This could be to chaperone a field trip, help us supervise during a special activity, or be a part of the classroom for special events. Along with a BCI check, any potential volunteer must also undergo VIP training at least once during their child's tenure at Winsor. Our first VIP training for this year will be Thursday, September 19th at 5:15pm. The training only takes 10-15 minutes. If you have yet to be VIP trained, do not miss out!

It has been great to welcome everyone back and bring a new group of Kindergarten students into our community. We look forward to the return of our students on Tuesday, September 3rd. Thank you.
