Town Meeting- Today

As we do monthly, today students at Winsor were recognized for displaying a Growth Mindset. These students, although not alone, exemplified the character traits of grit and persistence this month, working through complex academic tasks and problems. We are so pleased to acknowledge these deserving students. Building and maintaining a culture of hard work and pride is what makes Winsor the place to be. Well done!

RICAS Next Week

On Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 will take the ELA portion of the RICAS assessment. This assessment gives students the opportunity to show what they have learned this year and informs our curricular and instructional needs in future years. We simply ask that students show a Growth Mindset by putting forth their best effort. We deeply believe in all of our students and know that through grit, hard work, and a "can do" attitude, that anything is possilbe.

Recess Rocks Update

Our state trainer circled back to the Winsor team this week, paying a special visit to our school. The new games; Switch, Four Square, and Wall Ball, continue to be popular with students. As a special treat, Mr. Marino highlighted the game of the week- One Fish, Two Fish with the upper grades at recess today. We will be looking for parents to join our recess team in the near future. Please be on the lookout for more information.

SurveyWorks- LAST CALL

The window for Surveyworks closes on March 31st. This is your last opportunity to make your voice heard and provide the state feedback about Winsor. Please join the 62 respondents that have provided input as to the current state of our learning, teaching, leadership, climate, safety, and culture. The link is here:

Orchestra Rocks!

Students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 will attend the Orchestra Rocks performance in May. To prepare for this fun event, Ms. Reece, our sub for Mrs. Preston, will be instructing students on how to play the recorder. Parents- please send your student to school with a recorder on Monday. If you do not have one, please contact the office.

Thank you everyone. Have a wonderful weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Winsor Gala tomorrow evening.
